Stuff from 2018 - F1 and Windows!
Belated congratulations to Mercedes on five world F1 championships from five attempts. Also congrats to Lewis Hamilton, on his fifth F1 world championships. A british hero if there ever was one. A big high five to you all.
If anyone has changed the location of their BT Cloud folder after installation then you may be left with an invalid shortcut to the original location in Explorer.
Use regedit to look here:
and change 'TargetFolderPath' to the correct value.
We had a SSD fail on an BeagleBone test system. It seemed to fail in the area written over by the test so cloning the SDD to a new drive seemed to be a sensible option. The Beaglebone was using Ubuntu 14.04 however we needed to clone the SSD using Windows 10. We usedRoadkil's(yes no second L) Disk Image utility. Its tiny and efficient, and copies and writes in the region of 1 to 1.5GB/min. Make sure you select the relevant 'Physical Drive' from the dropdown especially if the drive uses a foreign filesystem so you dont need to worry about individual partitions.
We used Windows' Disk Management to remove any partitions from the destination drive and then used RoadKil to write the cloned image.
Ubuntu filesystem used to be here: %APPDATA%\..\Local\Lxss
After Windows 10 Fall Creators update you can find Ubuntu filesystem here: %APPDATA%\..\Local\Packages\CanonicalGroupLimited.UbuntuonWindows_79rhkp1fndgsc\LocalState\rootfs
